The first of the strawberries are being picked on the farm. What a taste of sunshine, after this damp spring.
Come by and taste them today at Wendy's Country Market. It's Strawberry Festival Sunday, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm.
There will be lots of tasty things to try, craft vendors, plants, and of course, strawberries!
Not sure what to do with real, local food? To help bring people back to eating close to home, Wendy’s Country Market and Furnace Falls Farm are creating recipes for the preparation and preservation of local ingredients.
Drop by the market to meet chef Mark Beacock, taste the produce, sample the products, and take away the recipes. Learn more about our project supported by the Greenbelt Fund, and help us with your feedback!
